About

Networking and globalisation of firms and markets leads to rapidly growing interdependencies between economies, countries, regions, firms and other players. The design of innovation policies must take full account of such interdependencies and requires new forms of international cooperation and governance.

The Joint Institute for Innovation Policy (JIIP) focuses on research-based support of these processes. It is an initiative of four major public research organisations in Europe: TNO (Netherlands), VTT (Finland), Joanneum Research (Austria) and Tecnalia (Spain).
